Villa

The name Umah di Beji or “House on a Sacred Spring” aptly describes this luxurious retreat which evokes in visitors an alluring sense of serenity and mystical tranquility.

This exceptional villa has received numerous acclaims: it was voted of the top 10 island villas in Asia by the DestinAsian magazine in 2003.It was featured in a Financial Times article in 2002, Far Eastern Economic Review November 2003 and The Luxe Guide to Bali.

The rugged Canggu beach, famed for its magnificent surfing, is a five minutes drive away (approximately 1 km).The top restaurants, hotels and shopping areas of Seminyak andLegian can be reached in15 minutes, and the famous Tanah Lot Temple Nirwana Golf course in under 20 minutes. The cultural centre of Ubud is a pleasant 45 minutes drive through traditional Balinese villages and picturesque countryside. The airport is approximately 35 minutes away.

Built on approx. 3,000 square metres of land, the villa design is centred around an impressive 15m X 5m black lava stone swimming pool fronting the river, which rises up towards the sky as if to invite the gods themselves to bathe. The use of the lava stones permits the creation of a mirror to reflect the sky and villa surroundings in the clear water. As befits its name, water features significantly in this villa design. Several small ponds and fountains can be found within the landscaping. Wherever one chooses to relax in this home’s numerous idyllic spots, sounds of trickling water seduces the senses.
