Description

The single storey serap-roof property expands from the narrow entrance of the Angkul-Angkul, a traditonal Balinese door to the Central Bale, the lounging and dining pavilion, complemented by a fully equipped kitchen. This steps down to a flat lawn flanked by pavilions on either side; 2 twin bed luxury suites and 2 master luxury suites. One master suite includes a fully equipped multi-media room and a secret garden set in the back for alone time… whilst the other includes a very large jacuzzi plus a covered terrace with a massage table for a pampering time…

The 4 bedrooms villa of 620 m2 is composed of 3 different 2 storey buildings linked on the second floor by a large terrace from where guests can admire a magnificent sea view especially for the sunset. The large manicured garden features an amazing 100 m2 lava stone swimming pool surrounding the buildings dedicated to the bedrooms. The villa has been designed by the very reputable Yoka Sara who has expressed a very modern architecture especially for the living area but has kept the Balinese touch with traditional material such as wood roof, and amazing old iron wood columns supporting the roof and for some of them plunging in the pool. Entrance
From the main gate surrounded by an external tropical garden, a large path slope down to the round about where 4 covered car parks are surrounding the main entrance of the villa. On the right side, a hill planted with tropical trees and the temple are providing a high privacy. On the left a large pound decorated with lotus and bamboo gives the feeling of the best of Bali and announces Sunset villa style. The gate of Sunset villa opened on the manicured lawn tropical garden, a pound decorated with high flower sculptured vas and the path to the very modern living and TV room.

General Description

The main air conditioning building featuring the living and the TV room upstairs is mainly made of large glass doors and windows. The roof and the walls are widening on the front to give an impression of space and to enhance the magnificent view on the surroundings. Comfortable sofas and coffee tables, Large LCD TV screen, Bose sound system and some Balinese arts are completing this amazing living area. At the centre, a building features downstairs a well equipped pantry and an open space dinning area and upstairs a bedroom with en suite dressing and bathroom. Ellora One Bedroom

The villa has two self standing structures. The first structure you step is the Living and Dining. This terrazzo floored structure contains fully equipped kitchen, self standing modern stove, dining table for 4 persons, and a set of sofa facing the pool. There is also a living area toilet with a storage on its side. The stove nicely stands right beside the dining table to have you watch the cooking process.

The other structure is the bedroom. This wooden floored building is dominated by the spacious king sized bed with head-bed made of stone. Sided with two bed lamps, the bed is positioned facing the pool. On its one corner is a sofa which can be set to be a place to sleep for your baby. The bedroom is equipped with a satellite TV, DVD player and a good sound system. A luxury bathroom can be found on its behind, a free standing bathtub, nice his and hers wash basin, private room for rain forest shower, and private room for toilet. Through a door, an open out-door shower can be found on its behind.

Villa Lataliana I

The majestic five-bedrooms villa Lataliana I was built in 2011 and is part of an exclusive enclave of two villas complete with a dedicated on-site spa. This exceptional property blends stylish modern architecture with custom-made furnishings crafted from the century-old recycled timbers of a traditional Indonesian phinisi schooner. With its spacious rooms, large free-form swimming pool, historic joglo bale pavilion, dazzling designer chandeliers, soothing antique water features and high-tech facilities, Lataliana I is classy and chic. It also presents an abundance of space, making it the perfect venue for weddings.

Bedrooms
All five of Lataliana’s bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, ceiling fans, satellite-channel TVs and Blu-ray disc players. Each has its own unique character or colour scheme – ranging from gold to pink to turquoise – and each is elegantly furnished with beds, cabinets, and chests fashioned from the recycled wood of a traditional sailing boat. Four bedrooms feature king-size beds (two of which can be converted to twins) while the smallest bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed. The two master bedrooms have retractable mosquito nets around their beds. All five ensuite bathrooms are remarkably spacious; finished with non-slip acid marble floors, and fitted with twin washbasins, soaking tubs, and monsoon showers that are open to the sky in private walled courtyards or gardens. Even the old ship’s rum barrels have been used to create the vanity units in one of the bathrooms.

Living Room & TV Room
The large living room has glass doors at both the front and the back that can be opened for cross ventilation or closed for air-conditioned comfort (ceiling fans are also an option). This elegant room is furnished with a baby grand piano, an Oriental rug, and segmented sofas and modern daybeds big enough to accommodate ten people. Soaring above the terrazzo floor is a pitched roof with a skylight at its pinnacle which channels sunlight or moonlight into the room and highlights a spectacular chandelier reminiscent of a bunch of gold ribbons. The gold theme is carried through to a fountain ornamenting the pond that lies just beyond this room. The living room is perfect for entertaining as it opens to a broad covered terrace running the length of the building, just a step or two above the pool deck.

Connected to the living room is an air-conditioned home theatre room with Bose surround sound and a 51-inch flat-screen satellite-channel TV and Blu-ray disc player, complemented by a library of 1000 DVDs. The room is furnished with three comfortable sofas, two of which are customised chaise longues, each big enough for two, plus a large daybed-type-sofa big enough for at least four, all are crafted from the recycled wood of an old phinisi boat. Fitted shelves on one wall are filled with books while glass doors open to the covered terrace at the front.

Dining Area & Kitchen
Open on three sides to the pool deck, the dining pavilion features a terrazzo floor and stone pillars supporting a vaulted wood-lined roof. Cooled by natural breezes and four ceiling fans, it is furnished with a solid wood table seating 16 and a sideboard. A guest wash room also leads off the dining pavilion, and to one side is a pond which carries the sound of water in motion as it cascades over a traditional wooden mortar that was originally used for threshing rice.

The villa’s commercial kitchen, professionally equipped with stainless steel appliances, is conveniently situated behind the dining pavilion and is the domain of Lataliana’s three chefs. In addition, a small kitchenette for guest use is positioned next to the bedrooms towards the back of the property, and equipped with a kettle, coffee maker, toaster and fridge.

Pool & Ground
The 25-metre free-form swimming pool features comfortable lounging shelves at two ends and a bubbling water feature crafted from an old millstone. Three ancient frangipani trees have been transplanted around the pool deck, together with a unique relaxation gazebo – actually a traditional, Indonesian, grass-roofed cowshed, which presents an unusual twist on the more-familiar form of bale pavilion. At the head of the pool, presiding over the garden is a second bale, featuring the ornately-carved core of an antique timber joglobuilding from Java, complete with a typical trapezium-shaped roof. This multipurpose structure can be used as a wedding pavilion, a bar area with a portable bar, or a dining venue with a removable awning that extends to the four corners of the raised deck. To one side of this is a gamelan of smiling musicians depicted in white stone.

Villa Lataliana II

Lataliana II is a charming two-bedrooms villa with contemporary architecture inspired by Indonesian vernacular design. The property, which was completed in 2011, sleeps up to four people in two separate buildings positioned on opposite sides of a 15-metre swimming pool within the boundaries of a tree- and flower-filled garden. One of the buildings, modelled on a traditional rice barn or lumbung, was designed specifically with families in mind.

On the opposite side of the pool is a stand-alone two-storey building constructed in the architectural style of a traditional lumbung or rice granary with a distinctive bonnet-shaped roof. On the upper floor is a large bedroom, while the ground floor presents a tiny kitchenette and an indoor-outdoor bathroom. Built into the lumbung, sheltered by a roof and overlooking the pool, is an elevated, open-sided relaxation space.

Master Bedroom
The spacious air-conditioned master bedroom has a non-slip acid marble floor and bay-shaped French windows that fold open to the swimming pool. Equipped with a satellite-channel TV, Blu-ray disc player, iPod dock and ceiling fan, the room is furnished with a king-size bed, reading lamps, and cabinets crafted from the recycled wood of an old phinisi schooner. The ceiling is fitted with runners that support an innovative retractable mosquito net, which forms a curtain around the bed. The large ensuite bathroom is light and airy, featuring a non-slip floor, twin washbasins, hanging and storage space, a freestanding bathtub for two, and a walk-in rain shower and toilet in separate cubicles, both of which open on one side to the fresh air.

Lumbung Bedroom
Designed with children or teenagers in mind (but equally suitable for a family happy to share their space), the lumbung offers a fully air-conditioned, two-level bedroom that can comfortably accommodate six. Here, a king-size bed converts to a pair of twins, a double bed reminiscent of a ship’s berth is built into the wall, and two sofas (one of which provides two single mattresses) are positioned on a mezzanine accessed via a solid wooden ladder. The bedroom’s timber floor extends through sliding glass doors onto a wooden balcony overlooking the garden and pool and framed by the bonnet-shaped roof. The bedroom is equipped with a satellite-channel TV, Blu-ray disc player, iPod dock and ceiling fan.

The bathroom is located downstairs and fitted with a single washbasin and toilet, a non-slip floor, a unit with hanging and storage space, and a funky wall mirror that literally makes a splash with its water-splatter design. Glass doors lead to a pebble-floored private courtyard with an open-air rain shower featuring a terrazzo splashback in the shape of a surfboard. A tiny kitchenette on the ground floor is equipped with a fridge and sink.

Living & Dining Area
The main room is open-plan with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and a non-slip floor throughout, yet it features two distinct areas: the living room under a high pitched roof with a skylight and glass doors front and back, and the dining room and kitchenette under a flat roof. The living space is furnished with huge and exceptionally comfortable sofa-style daybeds with deep cushions, a coffee table, satellite channel TV, Blu-ray disc player and iPod dock. The dining area is furnished with a square table for eight. Adjacent to this, the kitchenette is built into the end wall and fitted with a marble worktop and a two-burner gas hob. It is equipped with a fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, and cupboards filled with quality glassware and crockery. This kitchenette is for guest use while Lataliana’s superb cuisine is prepared in the enclave’s professional kitchen, which is the domain of the chefs.

Sliding glass doors from the living area open onto the timber pool deck, which is partially sheltered by a pergola roof. Another set of glass doors beside the kitchen area open to a pretty patio with just enough space for a circular table and two chairs guarded by an ancient frangipani tree.

Ground & Pool
The 15-metre free-form swimming pool curves across the flat lawn, bordering both the lumbung and main house with steps on either side. The garden is filled with shrubs and colourful bougainvillea, parlour palms, lipstick palms and travellers’ palms, two gnarled and ancient frangipanis, a butterfly tree and one of the tall, mature trees from the villa takes its name. Sheltered underneath the balcony of the lumbung is a large open-sided relaxation space filled with mattresses and cushions. A barbecue is also provided.

Lataliana Villas Dining System
The villa offers a fixed price menu and a comprehensive list of wines, premium spirits, cocktails, mocktails, fresh juices and soft drinks. This makes meal ordering easy, but should guests require items that are not on the menu, Rita, the food and beverages manager, will be happy to accommodate any special requests or special diets. Dishes and drinks not listed on the menu are provided on a ‘cost’ basis with a 20 percent mark-up to cover the grocery shopping service. If guests require anything that is not on the menu they should notify the staff the evening before or over breakfast to allow for the shopping to be done in a timely fashion during the day.

Lataliana has a dedicated team of 22 staff serving the two villas within the enclave including a full time manager, chef, butlers, housekeepers, gardener/pool attendant, security guards.

The Maharaj Accommodation

The Maharaj is made up by two self standing structures: Main Building and Guest House. As mentioned above, the main building is a two storeys structure served as the main point of the life of the villa. Master bedroom, Second bedroom, Fifth bedroom (single for kid or nanny), Spacious open style Living area, and Main Kitchen are placed here.

Guest House is located opposite to the Main Building, separated by the pool. This structure is equipped with two bedrooms with sharing bathroom. Ideally this house is only for sleeping.

The Master Bedroom located downstairs equipped with one king sized bed. It is served by an en-suite bathroom with outside shower. The 2nd-Bedroom is located upstairs with one king sized bed, equipped with en-suite bathroom with shower. The 3rd and 4th Bedrooms are placed at the Guest house, each equipped with a queen sized bed, and a sharing en-suite bath with shower. Quiet and safe, Villa Pushpapuri is situated close to the pretty village of Ketewel on Bali’s south-east coast. The streets of the village are lined with leafy trees; a small intersection is the venue of a fruit and vegetable market, and colourful temple ceremonies are a common sight. The Sanur-Kusumba by-pass, from Seminyak to Candidasa, has made this rural area accessible to the rest of the island and positions the villa within easy driving distance of Bali’s tourist attractions.

Entrance
Guests will enter the villa through a large watergarden comprised of four fishponds complete with bubbling fountains. This delightful courtyard area is planted with yellow irises, torch ginger, and a pair of ancient frangipani trees, while the walls are decorated with hand-carved Palimanan stone friezes depicting ocean and river themes. There is a secured car park and garage at the entrance.

Master Suite
The 2-storey master suite comprises the ground floor master bedroom and en-suite bathroom, and an upstairs study together with a DVD room. The air-conditioned master bedroom embraces a green theme with a cool marble floor and a built-in daybed. Sliding glass doors open onto the stone terrace on the one side and a timber deck on the other side, offering wonderful ocean views. The bedroom is furnished with a king size, canopied, four-poster bed and a lazy chair. Sumptuous cushions, golden Buddhas and an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player, complete the picture of luxury.

An en-suite dressing area presents built-in teakwood wardrobes with shelves, drawers and a safe deposit box, and vanity unit with twin washbasins and a large wall mirror. A toilet is tucked away in a cubicle. A rainshower and a large, sunken Jacuzzi are positioned in an adjoining open-air walled courtyard, complete with a fish pond, potted plants and a Palimanan stone frieze.

A downstairs hallway is accessed via a door from the master bedroom and also from an external door. From here, a set of stairs leads up to a cosy, air-conditioned sitting room boasting an aquamarine theme. Equipped with a DVD player, a Playstation, a low opium table, a sideboard, and a corner sofa that can be converted to twin beds, this room is ideal for children and adults alike. Next door is an air-conditioned study with windows on three sides that can be folded open to the breeze, offering an eye-boggling 270-degree view of the river estuary, the mountains, the beach, the ocean and the neighbouring islands. Featuring dark purple walls, the study is furnished with a desk, chair, large sofa and shelf unit. WiFi Internet access is available throughout the villa.

Guest Bedrooms
The main guest bedroom is on the ground floor under a soaring roof, with sliding glass doors on two sides. Characterised by an olive green theme, it is similar to the master bedroom, furnished with a king-size bed and equipped with air-conditioning, a built-in daybed, an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. A timber deck at the front is furnished with a table and a pair of planter chairs. The air-conditioned dressing area presents a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, a reading desk and a full length mirror. The en-suite open-air bathroom features a terrazzo vanity unit with wash basin, a toilet within an alcove, and a rainshower, harmonised with a fishpond, creamy-white Palimanan stone walls and floor, and a hand-carved frieze.

The other two air-conditioned guestrooms are ideal for children. Located on ground level, one is furnished with twin beds and the other with a queen-size, four-poster bed. Each is equipped with an LCD satellite TV and DVD/CD player. Three steps lead from each bedroom down to dressing areas, each fitted with a wardrobe, a safe deposit box, and avanity unit with a washbasin. The twin-bedded room features a toilet within a cubicle on this level. En-suite garden bathrooms present outdoor rainshowers. The room with the queen bed boasts an additional rainshower indoors, and a bathtub and toilet positioned in the private, walled, outdoor area.

Games Room
A stone staircase leads from the living pavilion down to the air-conditioned games room, complete with an arched wooden ceiling and an adjoining, open-air, walled courtyard. The games room is equipped with a pool table, a dart board, a wood-panelled bar with six bar chairs, a luxurious leather sofa, and a 40″ LCD screen satellite TV, ideal for watching sports. The courtyard is open to the sky, bordered by a water cascade, and furnished with a synthetic rattan bar table and high chairs, together with a coffee table and chairs.

Living and Dining Pavilion

Approaching the large living and dining pavilion, the ocean is immediately visible through the glass walls, which form three sides of this stand-alone building. A statue of Ganesha rests on one side of the glass entrance doors beside a sparkling wall of water cascading down to a lower level. The rectangular-shaped pavilion features a marble floor and a soaring roof lined with rattan. The sliding glass doors can be opened to allow the sea breezes and the rhythmic sounds of the waves to penetrate, and the room can also be cooled by ceiling fans. A circular dining table for eight is positioned at one end. The other side of the pavilion is furnished with two sofas, lazy chairs, an ottoman, a coffee table, handcrafted lamps and local artefacts.

A small kitchen is positioned next to the dining area and a fully equipped service kitchen is located in the staff service area. Guests also have the option of dining alfresco on the elevated terrace in front of the pavilion, which overlooks the garden and the pool and the ocean, and is furnished with an outdoor dining table and chairs.

A guest washroom is situated immediately outside the living and dining pavilion.

Villa Pushpapuri Garden & Pool

The beautiful garden is punctuated with coconut palms and dominated by a 20 x 4 metre, infinity-edge lap pool that follows the line of the beach and is elevated above a beachside lawn. A large bale bengong relaxation pavilion is situated at one end of the pool and fitted with two, large mattresses, making it an ideal spot for a massage. At the other end of the pool is a wood-panelled pool bar with a pitched roof. The pool deck is furnished with sunloungers and umbrellas. There is also a pool shower.

The expansive gardens make Villa Pushpapuri the perfect setting for barbeques, weddings, parties and other special events, including open-air Balinese dance performances. If required, the catering can be managed by external caterers who have the world-class expertise to prepare a sumptuous feast in addition to the coordination of decorations, flowers, lighting and entertainment.

Pushpapuri is supported by the exemplary service of a carefully selected team of highly trained, friendly staff who will do everything within their power to ensure that guests at the villa enjoy a truly luxurious and relaxing experience. The team is headed by a villa manager who will oversee and coordinate the staff and property, and is available to assist guests during their stay. There is also a cook, trained in the preparation of both Asian and Western cuisine, and personal butlers who are on hand to pamper and look after every guest need.
